Terms of Service

Ribbit's platform terms, community standards, copyright policy, and appeals process for users, advertisers, and partners.

1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ribbit governing your access to and use of the Ribbit mobile application, websites, and related products, services, features, content, and technologies.

By accessing, downloading, installing, registering for, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Ribbit's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least sixteen years old.
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • You must successfully complete Ribbit's identity verification process.
  • Accounts found to belong to users under sixteen may be permanently terminated.

3. Account Registration and Identity Verification

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account and verify your identity.

  • Government-issued identification and facial verification through ID Analyzer.
  • Apple Wallet ID verification.
  • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
  • You may maintain only one account.
  • Creating multiple accounts, using false identities, or attempting to bypass verification is prohibited.
  • Ribbit may refuse registration, suspend, or terminate any account at its sole discretion.

4. Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to notify Ribbit immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach.
  • Ribbit is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized account use.

5. Description of the Service

  • Create and share posts, images, videos, reels, and stories.
  • Send end-to-end encrypted direct messages and group messages.
  • Vote, comment, and follow other users.
  • Earn in-app virtual points called Ribb-it Coins.
  • Redeem points for gift cards.
  • Play games and participate in daily spinwheel rewards.
  • Participate in surveys and sponsored activities.
  • Purchase digital goods.
  • Boost content visibility.
  • Ribbit may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

6. User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you submit.
  • You grant Ribbit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, display, and create derivative works from your content solely for operating, improving, and promoting the Service.
  • You represent that you own or have the rights to the content you submit.
  • You represent that your content does not violate any law or third-party rights.

7. Prohibited Conduct

  • Violating any law.
  • Harassing, threatening, bullying, or abusing others.
  • Posting hate speech or extremist content.
  • Posting sexual content involving minors.
  • Posting pornography.
  • Engaging in fraud, scams, or deception.
  • Impersonating others.
  • Posting malware or harmful code.
  • Manipulating engagement, points, or systems.
  • Using bots or automation.
  • Buying, selling, or transferring accounts.
  • Circumventing security or verification systems.

8. Moderation and Enforcement

  • Ribbit may remove or restrict content.
  • Ribbit may reduce visibility.
  • Ribbit may suspend or terminate accounts.
  • Ribbit may ban IP addresses or devices.
  • Ribbit is not obligated to provide notice prior to enforcement.

9. Reporting

  • Users may report content or behavior through in-app reporting tools.
  • Abuse of reporting systems may result in penalties.

10. Virtual Points and Rewards

  • Ribb-it Coins are virtual points.
  • 100 points equals 1 USD.
  • Minimum redemption is 20 USD.
  • Points have no cash value until redeemed.
  • Points are non-transferable.
  • Points may be reversed or removed.
  • Ribbit may change earning rates, redemption rules, or availability at any time.
  • Gift card availability is not guaranteed.

11. Tax Responsibility

You are solely responsible for determining and paying any applicable taxes related to rewards or gift cards.

12. No Gambling

Games and spinwheel features are for entertainment only and do not constitute gambling.

13. Digital Goods

Digital goods are licensed, not sold. They have no real-world value and are non-refundable.

14. Surveys and Third-Party Services

Some features involve third-party services. Ribbit is not responsible for third-party content, decisions, or rewards.

15. Advertising

Advertisers are solely responsible for ad content. Ribbit does not endorse advertised products.

16. Messaging and Security

Messages are end-to-end encrypted. However, no system is perfectly secure.

17. Termination

  • Ribbit may suspend or terminate accounts at any time.
  • Upon termination, access ends.
  • Upon termination, points are forfeited.
  • Upon termination, content may be deleted.

18. Data Deletion

Users may request deletion via the app or by contacting privacy@ribbit.app. Some data may be retained for legal obligations.

19. Intellectual Property

All Ribbit software, branding, and designs are owned by Ribbit.

20. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis.

21. Limitation of Liability

Ribbit shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Maximum liability is 100 USD.

22. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ribbit from claims arising from your use of the Service or your content.

23. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

All disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in the United States.

24. Class Action Waiver

You waive the right to participate in class actions.

25. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States.

26. Force Majeure

Ribbit is not liable for events beyond its control.

27. Beta Features

Beta features are provided as-is.

28. No Employment Relationship

No employment, partnership, or agency relationship is created by your use of the Service.

29. Inactive Accounts

Ribbit may reclaim usernames or delete inactive accounts.

30. Export Control

You must comply with applicable United States export laws.

31. Survival

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect after termination.

Community Guidelines

Ribbit is intended to be a respectful community.

  • Harassment, hate, pornography, sexual content involving minors, violence, illegal activity, impersonation, spam, rewards exploitation, and sharing private information are prohibited.
  • Ribbit has zero tolerance for child exploitation, terrorism, severe violent threats, and large-scale fraud.

Appeals Process

  • Users may appeal enforcement actions through in-app support tickets or by emailing legal@ribbit.app.
  • Appeals should include your username, the action appealed, and your explanation.
  • Ribbit reviews appeals but is not required to reverse decisions.
